fun vibes and unique experience! friendly staff and explained the menu thoroughly when we had questions during restaurant week. would say cheese fondue and the s'mores fondue were my favorite! and the spread of cheese as appetizer (we did opt into restaurant week menu where we got to choose meat or cheese charcuterie platter as appetizer with salad--strawberries on salad were fresh, cheese or meat fondue (meat is $10 extra but I actually just loved the cheese fondue with bread the best. a classic!), and then choose between four dessert options but of course we stuck with the fondue trend and got the s'mores fondue. we also got their popular Swiss dessert (can't pronounce) with pecans and it was really really yummy. also, special shoutout to the pretzel... one of the better pretzels I've had recently. soft but not overly soft and easy to break!

we saw this place on tiktok, and were so so excited to try. despite coming at opening, it's important to make a reservation. they were kind enough to squeeze us in even though they said we had to leave within an hour time frame despite the slow service... they didn't kick us out though thankfully. we got the savoyarde and heimat fondue, and they were tasty but get to be too much after a bit. just be aware this is a very very heavy meal, and the portions are relatively big. the fondue all comes with unlimited bread, potatoes, and pickled veggies, but be aware the service is slow. 3 portions and an app were more than enough for our party of 4. the raclette portion was surprisingly the best part of the meal. the whole meal is a lot of cheese and the place has a pungent aroma, but that is to be expected when coming to a fondue place. it was a good place to try, but it gets overwhelming, so i probably won't be back again.

Reliably excellent, from fondue, bread, potatoes, and pickled vegetables, to the care and courtesy of the staff. The salad was a perfect starter, and the pork schnitzel outstanding.

I made a 5:15 pm reservation at the Matterhorn before heading to a Sketchfest show. We were able to park right at the corner (free) and were seated immediately in a small elevated room that sat 5 parties. We were alongside a date, a double date, and a family dinner. We were quickly offered tap water & given complimentary gourmet Cheez-Its - an amuse bouche that foreshadows the fondue-centered dinner menu. We ordered a couple of drinks and shared the Raclette Dinner ($30) - 8 squares of cheese that you melt over a tiny campfire & eat on top of 10 mini potatoes, 4 gherkin pickles and few carrot, pepper & cucumber pickles. For a light dinner, this actually kept us sated through the rest of the day. Don't underestimate the power of pure cheese. A few pinches of spice blend is served with the meal. I recognized fennel seeds & cumin. Our communication with our server was not very smooth. Very pleasant and polite, but we weren't working with a very deep shared knowledge about anything going on in this place. As a hiker, I was inspired by the decor & their beer list. I can imagine pulling up at the bar on a future visit & enjoying a quick drink before heading elsewhere for dinner. With some service training, the Matterhorn has serious potential. Given the wealth of history about the restaurant available online, it would be fun to be able to learn more from folks working here.

Came here for restaurant week and got a $80 combo set of salad, charcuterie, beef fondue, and a smores dessert. I thought it was a little expensive for what we got (hence -1 star) but the experience was really lovely! We made a reservation and waited a little bit to sat down. The whole meal took around 2.5 hours to serve all 4 courses. FOOD [5/5] ========= + Salad [5/5] Good portion size, great taste, fresh veggies. Nothing to complain about here! + Charcuterie [5/5] The waiter was super lovely about explaining each of the offerings and I was surprised at how diverse the options were. + Beef Fondue [4.5/5] I didn't realize the beef would be sort of herbal-tasting(?) but I really enjoyed it! The beef was super tender and tasty in the fondue cheese. My fellow companions didn't like it that much. + Dessert [5/5] I LOVED the smores setup I thought it was super cute. It came with chocolates and marshmallows above a small fire.

The Matterhorn has been somewhere I've been before but got enticed to go again for the restaurant week deal. I paid 70$ for the meal in the photos. I got a small house salad, mini cheese plate, beef fondue (added 10$ supplement) and a walnut based dessert. I was not expecting the salad as it was not on the menu but it was a good surprise. Nice and light and a good way to get veggies in before eating meat and cheese. The cheese plate had a good variety of cheese but it did seem a touch small. The beef fondue was good and at first it seemed underwhelming in size but actually going through and cooking each piece it did come out to be filling. While it was good, I still think next time I'll go for a cheese fondue. The dessert wasn't aggressively sweet and had nice walnut and caramel like flavor. I am not the biggest dessert fan so don't think would get again. Overall I enjoyed my meal and couldn't complain about the restaurant week deal but I do think it just solidifies that I should be getting the cheese fondue. The servers were nice and sat me at the bar where I was able to get service and attention quite quickly. The restaurant itself is quite big and has a very German/austrian vibe making it almost seem like I had just gotten off the slopes to get fondue as apres ski. Will come back to get the cheese fondue for sure.

If you're looking for delicious fondue and a cozy atmosphere this is the place... if you can get past the cheese mixed with chocolate smell I have to say the theming and the food are on point. It felt like we were in the Swiss alps and they even have a little gondola table which would be so cute for a date! We got three different fondues to share between 6 of us and the waitress made sure we were constantly replenished with the dipping goodies. All cheese were delicious, we were scrapping the bottom of the pans! Unfortunately, the service was not incredible and we were kept waiting for a long time before even ordering. We had a lot of questions about the menu, which were answered once our waitress came by. After we finished with the cheeses, the pots were left on the burners for a good 20 minutes with the cheese burning and causing an unpleasant smell. As one of only three tables at the restaurant that night, it was unfortunate we weren't attended to even when we tried waving down the waitress. Overall we had a good time and hopefully just caught them on a bad night!

Super fun place to celebrate a friends birthday! 1. We got 3 different cheeses to try between 6 people - it ended up being the perfect amount! 2. Hot Stuff was my favorite, followed by Moitie Moitie, and then Heimat. Would've loved to try Vampire Hunter but they were out that day! 3. Waiters will come by to refill your bread, potatoes, and pickles! We also got apples and a side of sausage, but definitely didn't feel like we needed it. 4. We ended with a S'mores fondue to share between the 6 of us. Portion was small but we were all so full that it was just enough for us to get a taste of a sweet treat at the end. Really great to go with a large group so you can try multiple things :)
